Installed as part of the Edinburgh Collage of Art Graduate Showcase 2022 the SoPC developed the first incarnation of our pop-up Archive and Project Space. This bipartite installation depicts the last year of SoPC walks, from our very first 'Colour Walk' to the research driven walks happening today. Through photographic documentation and the installation of the 'detritus' of previous walks including; post-it notes, seed bombs and blindfolds, this space offers no explicit description of each walk but rather provides a tacit sense of what to expect when joining a SoPC walk. Alongside the Archive sits the Project Space, a space for participatory and durational workshops that occurred over the show. Here including; 'The Knowledge Exchange', an open invitation to share research interests through post-it note trading & 'Re-imagining counter narratives with others' a collage making workshop using appropriated material alongside Autonomous Design Group posters to develop slogans for a better city!
This work has since been acquired by the University of Edinburgh Art Collection at the Centre for Research Collections alongside the commission of a new walk to take place in Feb 23 as part of The show 'Resistance in Residence' with the Traveling Gallery Supported by the CRC

Re-imagining counter narratives with others
Collage and poster making workshop
1. ‘Re-imagining’
-    Using the old magazines, books, and posters as imagery for collage, we can begin using this medium as a way of re-imagining urban design, with a particular focus on community access to green space in housing, workplace, and social design.
2. ‘Counter Narratives’
-    Using some of the posters by the Autonomous Design Group as inspiration we can begin developing, re-working and collaging activist slogans for a better city.
3. ‘Mapping’
-    Now that we have some imagery and a slogan, we can pin/bluetack/glue our designs to the maps on the wall (old Edinburgh OS maps) as to begin collectively collaging a new map of Edinburgh, visualising our counter upon layers of history.
