EMBASSY is an artist-led organisation based in Edinburgh that seeks to support early career artists, through the facilitation of exhibitions, commissioning opportunities, events and a public facing programming. EMBASSY was established in 2003 and since then has been run by a rolling non-hierarchical committee.
Annuale is a grassroots festival of contemporary visual art that takes place in venues across Edinburgh and online. Returning and rebirthing after a two year hiatus.
Commissioned by EMBASSY as part of the Annuale programming the SoPC delivered its first 'Art Crawl', walking & talking between festival venues, we played the SoPC Name Game, here each participant is given a pack of post-it notes and a pen, whenever they see something that catches their eye, anything that stands out in some way, they give it a name, something literal, something silly, something that sounds clever, anything! This walk the winner was 'Worlds most realistic potato' (see below) p.s. its not a potato!
